Position Title: Lifeguard 

Salary Range: The starting hourly rate for this position is $16.00 without a current Lifeguard Certification and $18.00 with a current Lifeguard Certification. 

Please note that, if you are interested in becoming a lifeguard, we will pay for your certification. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Emergency Response/Supervision 

• Maintain constant supervision of students in the pool area; Act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of students in emergencies. 
• Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services. Administer emergency First Aid and CPR, as necessary. 
• Present professional appearance and attitude and relate to a wide variety of students. 
• Communicate safety concerns with Program Administrators, managers, or supervisors. 

General 

• Maintain New York State Department of Health records and ensure New York State Department of Health requirements are met. 
• Perform various duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe environment. Keep the deck free of obstructions. 
• Abide by the NYS Justice Center and the SAI Codes of Conduct/Ethics. 
• Perform other duties as assigned.
