St. Anne Institute was presented with a performance of “Shakespeare the Remix”, a production presented by “On the Go Tours for Schools”. This theater group is from the Capital Repertory Theatre in Albany, which is now being managed by Proctors Theatre in Schenectady. “On the Go Tours for Schools” provides curriculum related performances for middle school and high school students. Prior to the performance the theatre group provides preparatory reading material for the schools to prepare the students for the performance.
On this day, the students from St. Anne Institute observed the show with a special guest, Phillip Morris, the CEO of Proctors in Schenectady. According to one teacher, “The students were not enthused about seeing a Shakespeare play; however once it began, they loved it, they got it, and they enjoyed it.” “On the Go Tours for Schools” has been coming to St. Anne Institute for many years. The actors and production crew always do a wonderful job connecting theatre with education.
