Year-round Regents Accredited and Certified Junior and Senior High School

The young women in our care are poised at the threshold of adulthood, hopeful, capable and focused on the future. Their success is the purpose of our work.

The gentle sounds of flute and guitar mingle and float from the music room. A tour through our school halls reveals walls lined with student artwork, molded clay, watercolors, charcoal drawings; each one as unique as the girl who created it.

Because each young woman comes to St. Anne with her own educational and emotional needs, an Individualized Education Plan is created for her which pinpoints and enhances her personal strengths while developing strategies to increase her skills in weak areas. Our small classes encourage individual attention. In addition to the core subject areas of Social Studies, Mathematics, Science, English, Physical Education, Foreign Language and the Humanities, St. Anne's school program also offers courses in Child Development Education, Fabric Design, Home and Careers, Nurses Aide, Business Education and Horticulture. Student recitals and theatrical performances combine with extra curricular activities to boost self-esteem and promote teamwork.

St. Anne's Summer Education Program allows youngsters to complete their academic requirements during the summer months while participating in a variety of cultural and recreational activities. Our extensive Outdoor Education Program allows students to utilize community resources and "mother nature" as learning tools by offering canoeing, mountain climbing, backpacking and horticulture.

Most teenagers have difficulty thinking about the future, yet the choices they make can affect the rest of their lives. The programs most likely to help them make the best choices are relevant to their future, matched to their abilities and consistently reinforced. St. Anne's progressive Work Experience Program and Career Counseling allows eligible students to hold part-time jobs on campus or within the community, based on their individual interests and, in many cases, career goals.
