St. Anne Institute has received a generous grant from the Stewart’s Foundation (Stewart’s Shops) in the amount of $3,750.00 to be used for special recognition birthday items for the resident student’s and to purchase items for “comfort” rooms in the residence’s units. St. Anne students just completed a Winter Zentangle project. Zentangle is an art technique that involves making patterns and drawing lines. It is intuitive, relaxing and fun. In fact, this method is even showing that it can be therapeutic by boosting ones self-esteem, controlling emotions, and relieving stress.
On October 25th and 26th, some of St. Anne Institute’s students visited the Farmers’ Museum in Cooperstown, NY. Students experienced 19th century rural and village life through the museum’s interpretive exhibits and demonstrations, including a typical kitchen, a blacksmith shop, a printing shop, and an apothecary.
